We are now producing a number of items that are useful in the classroom setting to help instructors get across the information that heretofore is available only in the appendices of specialized reference books and dictionaries. In addition, we also offer some more novelty type products that are aimed at those with an interest in Japanese history.
Images and descriptions of the products are below. To order any one of them, click on the image at the left, and you will be taken to a special page with that item on it where you can order it. If you wish to order several items, simply go back to this page for all the items.
Prints are all on heavy, glossy paper. They are suitable for framing, but they also may be attached to the wall as-is.

Games I-ro-ha sugoroku game sheet In the Edo period, sugoroku became a game played on large sheets of paper. They were like modern progression games like Slides and Ladders and so on. Themes included the 53 stages of the Tôkaidô, famous kabuki stars, etc. This new sheet uses the famous Iroha poem (adding the one missing character n as the end spot). To play, a die is rolled and the player moves forward that number of spaces. The winner is the first to reach the end.
This is excellent for students, as it will teach kana as the game is played. A suggested rule is for students to name a word beginning with the kana they land on, or lose their next turn. Since most students won't know any words beginning with we or wi, those are automatic lose-a-turn spaces. Die and markers not included.
Size: 11" x 17".

Blats that have been knocked off are placed file between the crescents. The print is scaled to support smaller blats (c. .75" diameter discs). Blats, dice, and cup not included.
Size: 11" x 17".
